FAQ & Company Policies
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover and paypal. Shop Pay, powered by shopify is also available for installment options. Please note that shipments will be delayed until payment clears the bank. Don't forget to log onto paypal to complete your transaction. If you need to cancel a purchase, please contact us within 24 hours. California purchases will be charged sales tax.
We create most pieces to order and keep very limited stock on hand. Each piece is handmade and finished and can take 1-4 weeks to ship unless it is in our READY TO SHIP section. To inquire about the possibility of a rush order, please email us HERE. All 14k gold items and items with diamonds are custom made to your specifications and require 4-6 weeks. READY TO SHIP items are shipped 2-5 business day from paid order (excludes Federal holidays, weekends and inclement weather).
SHIPPING:
Shipping is calculated at time of purchase based on shipping option selected. For shipping time estimate visit the USPS.
A NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: USPS estimates that international shipping takes up to 21 days and international priority is 6-10 business days. The recipient of the merchandise will be required to pay the duty or VAT upon delivery where applicable. Due to import duty valuation adjustments and currency valuations, we are unable to provide an estimate for duty or VAT. Returned packages will be refunded cost of order, minus any shipping fees already incurred.
EXCHANGES:
If there is a situation where the item is not damaged - but it is different than you hoped or expected (essentially an issue of personal taste or "buyer's remorse"), returns are accepted. Please note that we do our best to represent the item descriptions and measurements and photos - please look carefully and ask any questions BEFORE making your purchase. We are happy to do an exchange with free delivery for an equally priced item upon return of the original item to Compass Rose Design, 19 Caletta Ave. San Anselmo, CA 94960. Buyer pays return shipping for original item, artist pays shipping for replacement item.
Your 100% satisfaction is important to us If you have ANY issue email us. If you wish to return or exchange your item - send an email with reason for return and send the item within 21 days to:

Once your refund is received, we will refund 100% of your item cost minus any shipping fees for items already mailed within 48 hours.
A NOTE ON ANTIQUE BUTTONS & WATCH PARTS
Remember there is sometimes natural variation in hues or loving wear that accompanies the antique items we work with. Note that our vintage watch movements do not run! Very occasionally if a defect is observed before shipping, we will substitute a watch movement or face of equal caliber, only if the design can be replicated. They are antiques we have salvaged and are for decorative rather than functional purposes.
LOSS OR DAMAGE:
We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged merchandise unless insurance is purchased for package. CONTACT us BEFORE OR AT PURCHASE TO ADD INSURANCE FOR DOMESTIC PACKAGES. We will gladly fix your item or give you a refund for damaged merchandise. If your item breaks due to normal usage (we cannot be responsible if it’s squashed in the car door or stepped on) please ship the item back and we will happily fix it and return it to you! Buyer pays to ship back.
