Bohemian glassmaking has flourished in what is now the Czech Republic for more than seven centuries, celebrated for its brilliant color, intricate craftsmanship and remarkable sparkle. By the 18th century, the Jablonec region had become a center for glass jewelry and buttonmaking, producing tiny faceted, molded and richly decorated treasures that traveled around the world.
